An up and coming cannabinoid that’s making waves in the Hemp industry is HHC. If you’re not familiar with this cannabinoid there’s no need to worry. It has similar effects to THC, a longer shelf life, along with the possibility of not showing up on a drug test. Therefore, here is why the HHC cannabinoid is a game changer.
What Is HHC Cannabinoid?
If you’re not familiar with HHC, you’re not alone. Even most experienced Marijuana smokers are not familiar with this cannabinoid. That’s because it’s not Marijuana, it’s Hemp-derived. The experience is slightly different from THC, and it’s a lot more stable than THC.
What HHC stands for is Hexahydrocannabinol, which is extracted from the pollen and seeds of the Hemp plant. Also, it’s Hemp compliant which means that it has less than 0.3% of Delta-9 THC. In some cases, HHC can actually have non-detectable amounts of THC. This means there was not enough THC to show up on any lab test.
The biggest difference between HHC and other Hemp products that we carry, such as Delta 8 THC, Delta 9 THC, etc. is that HHC has no double bond in its carbon chain. Whereas products like Delta 8 have a double bond in the 8th carbon, and Delta 9 have a double bond in the 9th carbon. If we were to compare the effects of HHC it would be somewhere between Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC.
Now that you know a little more about what HHC is, you might be wondering what type of experience to expect. The experiences can vary, but it’s very much so like THC, but it’s been reported to be a lot more euphoric. In other words, HHC is very much so psychoactive, and the experience is a lot similar to Delta 9 THC rather than Delta 8 THC.
You can expect to experience similar euphoric sensations like you would with THC. However, some users have said that it provides that mental cloudiness like Delta 9 THC, but not turbulent. The type of experience will also depend on your THC tolerance, although HHC is not THC, it does bind to your Endocannabinoid receptors. This is what ultimately determines the type of experience from HHC.
The Stability of HHC
What really makes HHC stand out from THC is the fact that it’s a lot more stable. What this means is that HHC is heat resistant, and doesn’t get harmed when exposed to sun rays. Normally THC needs to be stored at room temperature, and away from UV rays. However, this is not the case with HHC; although we don’t recommend leaving it out in the sun because the terpenes might get damaged, the potency of HHC would remain the same.
Ultimately, what makes HHC different is the way in which it gets processed. Think of it as butter vs. margarine, one is an organic product and the other contains a hydrogenated oil. Although butter is great, it can go bad very easily and has a shorter shelf life. On the other hand, margarine tends to last longer because of the way it was processed and tastes similar to butter. Likewise, HHC is very similar to THC, but a different process makes it a lot more stable and can produce a similar experience.
Another game changer is that HHC is less likely to show up on a drug test. Although we can’t guarantee that you’ll show up negative on a drug test, it’s been reported to have a less chance of showing up positive. This is because drug tests are testing for THC and not HHC, and products that contain HHC usually have low to undetectable traces of THC.
One of the latest products on Delta Extrax is our Hydro Collection. This collection features premium Hem-derived HHC cartridges with Disposables coming soon. The 2 flavors we currently have available are Cherry Pie and Blue Widow.
Cherry Pie HHC Cartridge
Our Cherry Pie HHC Cartridge is a Hybrid strain that has a sweet-tart flavor. Also, Cherry Pie is produced by crossing Granddaddy Purp and Durban Poison strains. Like all of our cartridges, you will need a 510 thread battery device in order to vape this product. You will want to take 1 - 2 puffs and wait about 15 minutes to see how you react to it. If you feel you need more then take another 1 -2 puffs until you get the desired effects.
Blue Widow HHC Cartridge
Finally, our Blue Widow HHC Cartridge is a Hybrid strain that is Sativa dominant. The flavors in this cartridge include a sweet aroma with hints of sour citrus and pine. Our Blue Widow is a cross between White Widow and Blueberry, although it is Sativa dominant, you can expect the well balanced characteristics from the Hybrid strain.
Ultimately, HHC is a cannabinoid that you should try if you’re looking for something similar to Delta 9 THC. It tends to have a longer shelf life because of the way it’s processed, and has the possibility of not showing up on a drug test (not guaranteed). If you’re interested in trying HHC, we’re launching cartridges on 09/16/21 with disposables soon to follow.
